Who this is for
Fleet hire is built for any operator running more than a handful of vehicles where downtime costs money: logistics and last-mile, trades and field service, taxi and PHV operators, plant and rental, public sector, and corporate car fleets. If a vehicle off the road means a job not done or a driver sat at home, fleet accident management belongs in your operational kit.
What fleet accident management actually covers
Fleet accident management is the end-to-end handling of vehicle incidents on behalf of the fleet operator - FNOL capture, repair coordination, replacement vehicles, and claims recovery. Done well, it minimises downtime, protects driver productivity, and keeps your insurer relationship healthy. Done badly, it adds admin to your transport team and leaves vehicles standing idle.
How it works when one of your vehicles is in an accident
- Driver or transport manager calls us - one number, day or night during cover hours.
- We capture the FNOL and triage the incident - liability, injuries, recovery requirement.
- A like-for-like replacement is dispatched to keep the route running.
- We coordinate repair, recovery, and claim - and keep you updated.
- At the end of hire we collect the vehicle and reconcile against your agreed terms.
Why outsource fleet accident management?
- One named handler instead of juggling brokers, repairers, and hire desks.
- Faster vehicle off-road (VOR) recovery - every day matters.
- Specialist fleet access - including vans and trucks and licensed taxis.
- Lower admin load on your transport team - we own the chase.
- Recovery of uninsured losses where liability sits with the other side.
What we need from you
To set up a fleet account we’ll ask for your typical vehicle mix, driver count, geographic footprint, insurer details, and how you want incidents reported. The heavier the integration with your back office, the faster the response - but we can also operate on a pure ad-hoc basis if that suits.
Fleet range
Standard cars, commercial vehicles, licensed taxis, and EV/hybrid options. If you operate a mixed fleet, we’ll match the replacement to the role - a tail-lift Luton driver doesn’t want a Caddy, and an EV driver shouldn’t be put back in a diesel.
Reporting and partnership
We share monthly MI on hire volumes, durations, average delivery times, and recovery performance. If your insurer or broker needs to see the same data, we’ll route it through too. Read more about how this works for insurers and brokers.
